Brunello Cucinelli

„Respect, morality and devotion“.These are the values, borrowed from Benedictine doctrin, with which Brunello Cucinelli likes to describe his business philosophy. And he really means it: Born to a family of modest means – as son of factory worker, who had to work under nearly inhuman circumstances to survive with his family – Brunello knows also this side of life.
Yet he always believes in his calling to give the world something beautiful and he worked continuously and with devotion for his lifelong dream: Working in a splendid location to make people´s work more “humane” and “dignified” and to safeguard the artistic and cultural heritage of the world.
The concentration only on superb quality and the permanent search for “beauty” is reflected in his collections, as well as in the patient restoration of the 13th century village of Solomeo, the headquarter of the company. In this medieval village near Assisi, where the wind still carries the spirituality of St. Benedetto of Norcia and the mysticism of St. Francesco, Brunello Cucinelli developed a new concept of work, where the human being is in the focus of attention.
At Solomeo the creativity of each individual employed is part of the common good. True creative workshops are the vital force, that produces the ideas and the new collections which, renewed each year, made him famous all over the world.
